About this product
Juba Acidificando a Juba Acidifying Treatment
Acid for porous curls: Acidificando a Juba brings shea butter, jojoba oil and a fruit-acid vinegar complex to porous, dull, frizzy curls and coils, helping rebalance the hair's pH, seal the cuticles and bring back shine and softness, low-poo and no-poo friendly, in a 500ml bottle.
Widi Care is a hair-care brand from Rio de Janeiro, founded in 2009 by Simone Braga: it started in the city's salons and moved into Brazilian bathrooms in 2016 with its home-care lines, all made in the brand's own factory. Its best-known line is Juba ("mane"), the curly and coily range whose product names are little instructions in Portuguese: Higienizando a Juba (cleansing the mane), Encaracolando a Juba (curling the mane), Modelando a Juba (shaping the mane). Acidificando a Juba is the acidifier of the line: a treatment used once a week or every two weeks, after shampoo and before the mask, for hair that looks porous, dull and frizzy, often after bleaching, colour or heat.
The idea behind acidifiers is simple: hair is naturally slightly acidic, and alkaline treatments open the cuticle; a mild acid rinse helps close it again, so hair reflects light and feels smoother. Here the acids come from a vinegar and fruit complex (apple, lemon, tamarind), with shea butter and jojoba oil so the hair is conditioned at the same time.
Why you'll love it
- Smoother, sealed-looking cuticles
- Mirror shine for dull curls
- Less frizz and a less porous look
- Softer curls that are easier to define
Key ingredients
- Vinegar and fruit-acid complex – apple, lemon and tamarind extracts with gluconic acid: the acidifying part.
- Shea butter – conditions and softens.
- Jojoba oil – slip and shine.
- Babassu oil – light Brazilian palm oil. Discover babaçu ↗
How to use
- Wash with a hydrating shampoo and squeeze out the excess water.
- Apply the acidifier section by section, massaging in; comb through to distribute.
- Leave for 5 to 10 minutes and rinse well.
- Follow with your mask, rinse and style as usual.
Use once a week or every two weeks, depending on how porous your hair feels.
Your Brazilian hair schedule
The Brazilian cronograma capilar rotates three treatments: hydration, nutrition and reconstruction. An acidifier sits between the shampoo and the mask on any day of the cronograma capilar; Brazilians use it most on reconstruction weeks, after chemical treatments.

Frequently asked questions
How often should I use it?
Once a week or every two weeks, depending on how porous your hair feels. Right after colour, bleach or heat styling, weekly works best.
Can I use it on straight hair?
Yes. It works on any hair that looks porous, dull or frizzy; this Juba version is simply richer, made with curls in mind.
Is it silicone-free?
Yes. There are no silicones in the formula, so it rinses out easily with a gentle shampoo and suits routines that avoid silicones.
