The gel behind Brazil's curl techniques: Novex's Meus Cachos de Cinema gel gives curls and coils up to 72 hours of super definition, with a humectant formula that hydrates while it holds, six plant oils and plant proteins that nourish and strengthen the fibre, a UV filter and a vegan, silicone-free formula, for fitagem, dedoliss or the GOC mix.

Novex is the haircare brand of Embelleze, a Brazilian beauty company, and a household name in Brazil: big jars made for the Brazilian cronograma capilar, the routine that rotates hydration, nutrition and reconstruction. Meus Cachos de Cinema means "my movie-star curls": the line for curly and coily hair (3A to 4C), with a blend of six plant oils and plant proteins.

The defining gel is the partner of the famous curl cream. Its humectant formula hydrates while it styles, giving curls strong, long-lasting definition and shine. It is the gel Brazilians use for the classic curl techniques: fitagem (raking it through each section), dedoliss (twirling each curl around a finger) and the "GOC" mix of gel, oil and cream.
