The Ekos lotion to start with: Castanha brings raw Brazil nut oil, rich in omegas 6 and 9, and cupuaçu butter to intensely dry skin, reduces the whitish, flaky look from the first application, keeps skin ultra-hydrated for up to 72 hours, feeling twice as repaired and nourished after 7 days, and leaves the creamy, nutty scent most people recognise as Ekos.
Natura, founded in São Paulo in 1969, is Brazil's biggest beauty company, and Ekos is the line it launched in 2000 around ingredients from the Amazon, bought from the forest communities that harvest them. Castanha is the Brazil nut, harvested from wild trees in the Amazon; Natura says the line supports the income of nearly 700 harvesting families. Its oil is rich in omega-6 and omega-9 and is the base of this lotion, with cupuaçu butter alongside it. It is the Ekos product for skin that is really dry: in tests, skin looked less whitish and flaky from the first application, felt nourished for up to 72 hours, and felt twice as repaired after 7 days.
