The cleanser Botik makes for skin that most cleansers upset: a sulfate-free gel with cica, panthenol and three ceramides that cleans without stripping, keeps the skin barrier intact and calms the tight, itchy feel of dryness from the first wash.
O Boticário, founded in Curitiba in 1977, is one of Brazil's biggest beauty groups, and Botik is its dermocosmetic face-care line: high-concentration actives, formulas developed with Swiss technology and tested with dermatologists. The Gentle Cleansing Gel is the first step of the Cica, Panthenol & Ceramides routine, and the cleanser Botik makes for skin that most cleansers upset. The surfactants are mild (sulfosuccinate, betaine, amphoacetate, isethionate and coco-glucoside: no sulfates), there is glycerin and panthenol so the skin is not left tight, and a ceramide trio with cholesterol and phytosphingosine, plus Centella asiatica. It rinses clean and leaves the skin smooth and comfortable rather than squeaky.
