About this product

Babosa 2-in-1 Mask & Cream

Aloe vera for thirsty curls: Skala's Babosa 2-in-1 is a 1kg hydrating cream for curly hair that treats in the shower and styles afterwards, with five ways to use it, from co-wash to leave-in, for deep hydration and soft, bouncy curls.

"Babosa" is the Brazilian Portuguese word for aloe vera, an ingredient Brazilian women have used on their curls for generations. Skala Expert Babosa brings it into one of the country's iconic oversized pots, together with shea butter esters and D-panthenol, for soft, defined, shiny curls.

Why you'll love it
  • Deep hydration for thirsty curls
  • Treat and style with one pot
  • Five ways to use it, from co-wash to leave-in
  • Soft, bouncy curls
Key ingredients
  • Aloe vera (babosa) – vitamins, minerals and amino acids for hydration.
  • Shea butter esters – a shea-derived conditioning ingredient for softness.
  • D-panthenol – pro-vitamin B5 for moisture and strength.
How to use

As a treatment: apply to clean, damp lengths, avoiding the roots. Leave for 3 minutes and rinse. For a deeper treatment, use a thermal cap for 15 minutes.

More ways to use it:

  • Conditioner: after shampoo, massage through the lengths and rinse.
  • Pre-shampoo: coat dry, unwashed hair section by section, leave it to work, then wash.
  • Co-wash: massage a little into a wet scalp like a shampoo and rinse; then apply to the lengths, detangle and rinse.
  • Styling cream, leave-in: smooth a small amount through damp or dry hair and style as usual.
Your Brazilian hair schedule

The Brazilian cronograma capilar rotates three treatments: hydration, nutrition and reconstruction. Skala places Babosa on Hydration day, the step that helps replenish the water your hair has lost. Reach for it when your curls feel dry, dull or lack movement.

What does "liberado" mean?
It is the Brazilian label for products free from sulfates, silicones, petrolatum and mineral oil, so they suit low-poo and no-poo curl routines.
